RS has been informed that a record 39 people took part in the recent ICP Program hosted by ICP Singapore, www.icpsingapore.org. A total of 33 completed the level 1 certificate (11 passed, 9 conditionals and 13 not passed yet) and 6 for the level 2 certificates (3 passed, 1 conditional and 2 not passed yet).  This is a record number for Singapore.  We welcome them into the skating instructor fraternity as they introduce more people to skating as a fun and safe alternative sport that can be enjoyed by all.

RS Points Series was initiated for speed skaters in Singapore to have regular competition.  The first two has helped us gain valuable experience and insights to what is needed for us to improve in when we organize races here.  We would like to thank all who have given us feedback and assistance to make it possible for the points series to be held.

The dates of the series will be pushed back in view of the 2006 World Championships where 3 of our athletes will represent the country and officials sent to learn and garner support so that we can organize better races for you.

The NISM will also be postponed as we have had enquiries about getting MOE schools to participate in it under the schools category.  Dates will be announced shortly.
