Singapore Science Park is organizing a week-long sports carnival at Science Hub from 21st to 24th May 2007, 11am-2pm. This sports week will feature sports displays, sports celebrities, sports demonstrations, talks, try outs, etc.

RollerSports, along with other National Sports Associations, have been invited to participate in the sports carnival.

Back from Beijing, host city of SPORTACCORD 2007, it is now time to draw a few important guidelines for the next months. First of all, after all the meetings and personal discussions with IOC Members and top world sports managers, I am reasonably more confident about the growing attention arising towards rollersports.

The annual Coach Recognition Awards (CRA) organized by the Singapore Sports Council, recognizes coaches for their outstanding achievements, commitment and contributions towards the continued development and success of their athletes and sport within the past year.

This prestigious award also takes into consideration the coaches’ effort to adopt best coaching practices, such as displaying ethical coaching behaviour, the pursuit of continuous upgrading in coaching capabilities and the quality of their training programmes.

So if you know any deserving coaches whom you feel have done well or has inspired you greatly in 2006, salute them for their efforts by nominating them for the CRA 2007 now!

RollerSports is pleased to announce that Ngee Ann Polytechnic Inline Skate Club(NP Inline Skate Club) is tied in with the NDP 60 skaters' event.

If you are interested in joining the event but not a member of NP Inline Skate Club, please still send your NRIC number and name to admin@rollersports.com.sg. There are still 15 places to be filled.

Dear Friends,

a wind of change is blowing through our sports world and right now everyone can feel it. Since my elections, back in 2005, I knew our Federation had to "raise from its ashes", working hardly on its image, its troubled financial situation and mostly on its self-confidence.

I can look behind today and proudly gather at the massive work carried out: attentive contacts with the IOC and the international sports Bodies, common sacrifices to fix the balance, and mostly, a full co-operation from my central committee and from a mass of valuable friends who contributed to the development of the roller sports all over the world.

The RS League will commence on 15th April 2007, Deadline for registration is 7th April 2007. Please submit your registration forms together with a $20 registration fee to Daniel Chew or Joyce at the RS office.
