To All Skaters, Participants, Event Organizer, Sponsors of IFC and Members of RS  RS has noted that the IFC organized in November 2006 has been announced in such a way that it could be interpreted as a National Endorsed Competition. We would like you to know that the event was not endorsed by RS or SSC and that the claim that skaters “… turned up for the National Qualifiers…†is misleading.  The event titles where the term National was used to describe the divisions eg  National Freestyle Slalom (Men) etc is also misleading. The IFC is not a National Qualifier nor are the divisions in anyway National Divisions. Winners of the divisions are IFC winners not National winners. read more... |

We continue to seek your support for the newly constituted RS. We have been able to organize several events this year and know that we are short on equipment to get these events organized properly to meet minimum standards. We are trying very hard to do so and need your help.Besides officials and volunteers,  RS needs some basic timing and video equipment to help us with the events and competition lined up for the rest of the financial year.  The budget allocated from SSC does not cover some of these basic equipment and we would like to appeal to you and those you know to help us find donors for them. We will be pleased to acknowledge all donations on our website. We know that you love the sport and ask that you help us so that we can bring the sport to others. read more... |
RS has been informed that a record 39 people took part in the recent ICP Program hosted by ICP Singapore, www.icpsingapore.org. A total of 33 completed the level 1 certificate (11 passed, 9 conditionals and 13 not passed yet) and 6 for the level 2 certificates (3 passed, 1 conditional and 2 not passed yet). This is a record number for Singapore. We welcome them into the skating instructor fraternity as they introduce more people to skating as a fun and safe alternative sport that can be enjoyed by all. read more... |
